STORY OF ISLAMIC MASSACRES OF HINDUS (PART 4): BUTCHERY PRACTISED BY THE MOGHULS

I draw your attention to the following blogs earlier posted by me:
The above three articles brought out the Islamic tyranny on Hindus till the advent of the Moghuls in 1526, and covered Bin Kasim, Ghazni, Ghori, Slave Dynasty barbarians, Khaljis, Tughlaqs, Sayyids and Lodis. In this blog, Part 4 in the series, I shall deal with the tyranny andbarbarities of the Moghul Rulers (1526-1857) as had been earlier promised by me.
Our history text books show Moghul rulers in a glorious light as great builders, art lovers, lovers of music and literature, wonderful warriors and conquerors etc. Only Aurangazeb is shown as a fanatic. What are  hidden from the readers are the tyranny, barbarism and atrocities against Hindus practiced by ALL OF THEM. The Central Government had issued special orders to writers of history books:  "Muslim rule should not attract any criticism. Destruction of temples by Muslim invaders and rulers should not be mentioned and forcible conversions to Islam should be ignored and deleted, etc. etc." (Prof K.S.Lal).
India will have to wait for the riddance of the Congress Party so that history books can tell the whole truths. Meanwhile, I am following basically Stephen Knapp’s Book “Crimes Against India”. He has chronicled the atrocities on the Hindus by Muslim invaders and rulers, quoting from original sources. As per Knapp, the estimated number of Hindus killed as kafirs during the Moghul period (1526-1857) is 20 million.
BABAR (1526-30):
Babar, of Turkish descent (unlike the mostly Afghan Muslim rulers before him), was a descendant of Timurlane. Timur who ruled from Samarkhand himself had invaded Delhi in 1398 and massacred one lakh Hindus in one day and went back with huge treasures. In his Babarnama, Babar himself describes “the numerous massacres of the infidels and how he would watch as his swordsmen would cut off the heads of the Hindus..”. Babur would raise "towers of heads" of slaughtered Hindus. He destroyed temples and smashed the deities. Guru Nanak, a witness, has written about Babar’s atrocities on Hindus. Nanak wrote, inter alia:  “There was so much of slaughter that people screamed, Didn’t you feel compassion, Lord?”
HUMAYUN  (1530-56):
Humayun inherited an empty treasury and had little means to fight Hindu Kings and put Hindus to the sword. He was defeated by Afghan Sher Shah (ruler of Bengal and Bihar) and went into exile for 12 years. We remember how he fell from a staircase and died.
AKBAR (1556-1605):
Akbar is known as “Akbar the Great” for really no good reason. He was only 13 when he took the throne. He was an illiterate. Yet, to show his stature, he assembled nobles, intellectuals, artists etc around him. He liked to be flattered by them all. Much of his time went in the harem with 5000 women. He was an inveterate drinker too. Babar wrote his own autobiography (called Babarnama which is also known as Tuzuk-i-Babari), and  Jahangir wrote his own autobiography called Tuzuk-i-Jahangiri . However, Akbar was too unlettered to write his autobiography. It was Abul Fazl who chronicled his reign in Akbarnama.
Akbar’s catholicity lay in tasting the flesh of women of all races and all religions, and his appetite for sex was legendary. At a superficial level he thus advocated Din-e-Ilahi, a cocktail of religions that he invented, but at heart he was a proud Muslim who would not stand apostasy. While he caroused, the Hindu Minister Todar Mal did a splendid job of administration for which “Akbar the Great” got all the praise.
The Hindu King and adversary named Hemu who was defeated at the Panipat battle, was brought before Akbar who was just 13. Akbar hit Hemu on his neck with his scimitar and watched his other men kill Hemu. Hemu’s head was dispatched to Kabul. After the Panipat war, Akbar raised a "tower of heads" (and this became a common practice).
After the capture of Chitor in 1568, in which 8000 Hindu warriors died, Akbar had 30,000 Hindu peasants killed. The killing of peasants was not done even by Allauddin Khilji who had earlier attacked Chitor. After the killings of Chitor, Akbar went to Ajmer to thank Allah, the Prophet and Moinuddin Chisti.
Akbar’s army captured Ahmedabad in 1573 after which 2000 heads were collected into a "tower of heads"!
The Commentaries of Father Monserrate state that Akbar’s men destroyed many Hindu temples and built mosques in their place, and many Hindu buildings were converted into tombs and shrines.
Who has not heard of the Battle of Haldighati on 21 June, 1576? Akbar’s huge army defeated the Rajput Rana Pratap. The Rajput’s side suffered very many casualties.
A very unflattering write-up on Akbar can be found at this link: http://www.hindunet.org/hindu_history/modern/akbar_ppg.html
This piece quotes the sources and I would take it as well written and reliable.
JAHANGIR (1605-28):
He was a drunkard and a sadist.
He destroyed the Bhagwat temple in Ajmer. He persecuted Jains in Gujarat.  He ordered Jain monks not to be visible or else they would be put to death. He sent Murtaza Khan to Kangra to destroy the Hindu temples. He slaughtered cows in Kangra and built a mosque there. He ordered that Muslims could not be re-converted to Hinduism. He prohibited marriages between Hindus and Muslims in Kashmir. Married Hindu husbands had to convert or face death. Jahangir encouraged conversion to Islam by providing special financial incentives.
Sikhs would never be able to forgive Jahangir who tortured and killed Guru Arjan Devji. The bloodiness of Jahangir’s heart can be measured by the methods of torture Arjan Dev was subjected to. The latter was tied to a post in the open in the hot Lahore summer. Boiling water was poured on his naked body. He was boiled in a cauldron. He was made to sit on a hot iron plate. He was also stoned. He was finally thrown alive in the river Ravi with hands and legs tied.
SHAH JAHAN (1628-1758):
Shah Jahan ordered that all temples in his dominion should be pulled down. By his order, 76 temples in Benaras were pulled down. (Churches at Agra and Lahore were also destroyed.) As per Badshahnama (his biography), ten thousand inhabitants were executed by being “blown up with powder, drowned in water or burnt by fire”.  At Agra, 4000 captives were tortured in the attempt to convert them to Islam. Those who did not convert were got trampled by elephants. I often wonder how you can have roads named after Shah Jahan and Jahangir in the centre of Delhi, glorifying these barbarians.
Shah Jahan personally marched to Orcha, the capital of Bundelkhand and destroyed the massive Bir Singh Dev temple. He put a mosque in its place. He captured two sons and a grandson of Raja Jujhar Singh and forcibly converted them to Islam. A Minister with the Raja and one more son of the King refused to be converted and they met their end.
Shah Jahan was ruthless with the class of peasants. They were told to convert to Islam. Under threat many converted to Islam. Other peasants with their wives and children were driven to markets and sold to Muslim Lords. Women committed suicide burning to save their honour.
AURANGZEB (1658-1707):
He was the most heartless and tyrannical amongst the Moghuls with utter hatred for Hindus and Hinduism. Why do we  still have an “Aurangzeb Road” in Delhi to glorify and remember this barbarian, I wonder!
He destroyed more than 10,000 Hindu temples. Jain and Buddhist places of worship were also razed down. Often, mosques were erected in their place.
In 1672, he slaughtered several thousand revolting Hindus in Mewat (a region in Uttar Pradesh).
In Udaipur, Aurangzeb destroyed 172 temples. Hindus of Udaipur who opposed the demolition of the magnificent main temple were all killed. In Amber, 66 temples were pulled down.
Aurangzeb made a special trip to Vrindavan to destroy temples and deities.
In 1670, Aurangzeb plundered the city of Mathura and destroyed the famous Keshav Rai temple at the birth place of Lord Krishna, and built a mosque in its place. He named Mathura as Islamabad. The noise made by Muslims at one Babri demolition in 1992 which was a removal of encroachment , on the most sacred place for Hindus in the whole country, that took place 500 years ago, is ridiculous considering the tens of thousands of Hindu temples destroyed by Muslims.
The destruction of Lord Viswanath temple in Benaras was the crowning achievement for this bloody bigot.
Aurangzeb’s torture and killing of Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur is well known to us. The methods of torture of the Guru and his five assistants, was unthinkable. One assistant was roasted alive. One was boiled in water. One was cut into two with a saw from head down. Guru Tegh Bahadur himself was beheaded.
The blood of any Hindu will simply boil if the details of this tyrant’s barbaric actions are fully revealed. An article on the temple-destruction spree of this crazy Emperor is eminently readable at this link:
CONCLUSION:
The history text books should be rewritten to show the anti-Hindu barbarism of the Moghul rulers too. The roads named after these tyrants such as Aurangzeb Road, Shah Jahan Road etc in Delhi, in their glorification, should be changed to perhaps Kabir Road, Chaitanya Road, Tukaram Road, Guru Arjan Dev road etc. It is surprising that the rulers have not thought of a Dawood Ibrahim Road, Mussolini Road, Nadir Shah Road or a Timurlane Road! The pre-Moghul Muslim rulers, after their invasions, had named Junagadh as Mustafabad, Champaner as Mahmudabad etc, and we have reverted to the old names. It is thus a shame to have Roads still in the name of tyrants like Aurangzeb. Ahmedabad should perhaps revert to its old name Karnavati.
