" History simply repeated itself, as tragedy. Given the state of submarines and lack of upgrades, the death of the two young warriors aboard INS Sindhuratna is a tragedy that was foretold. India is losing its bravehearts to the systemic collapse—not war ".
The uniformed gentry are sick and tired of hearing / reading these pious platitudes.
Like the 'Guilty Men of 1962', it doesn't need a Rocket Scientist to tell who the 'GUILTY MEN OF THE DECADE 2004-2014' are.
They are - 'Saint' Antony, the Defence Secretary, who following Peters Principle of ' striving and achieving his level of incompetence ' has got kicked upstairs as the CAG !!, and lest we forget - the gentleman/lady who warms the seat- nomenclatured : 'Financial Advisor, Defence Services' .
From personal experience, their 'incompetence' is staggering and Himalayan in Heights !!
Time the media starts 'NAMING AND SHAMING' these POLITICOS/BABUS , who send young and bright men/women to their graves.
Why is the media NOT SCREAMING FOR THE HEADS OF 'SAINT' Antony and the Defence Secretary for starters ?

Sir,
I'm afraid the headline is misleading.
Lack of knowledge on matters military in the Fourth Estate is galling - to say the very least.
The ship - to be commissioned sometime in the future as INS KOLKATA, is at present under the CONTROL of Mazagoan Docks - and - NOT - REPEAT NOT - the INDIAN NAVY.
Normally ships under construction are designated as YARD - - ; for eg. YARD - 501.
The Navy maintains at all the Defence Shipyards a Naval Team known as 'WARSHIP OVERSEEING TEAM' - (WOT) .
As and when the shipyard completes the installation of a system or sub-system, the shipyard presents the same for trials to the WOT, who accept it on behalf of the Indian Navy.
Such trials are common and ongoing at the yard almost on a daily basis .
I suspect the officer who suffered the fatality would have been a Marine Engineer from the WOT.
Once again Sir - THE NAVY DOES NOT COME INTO THE PICTURE.
Nor does the Ministry of Defence.
Its the Department of Defence Production headed by a Secretary - Defence Production.
Please get your facts correct.

Sir,
Arvind Kejriwal goes to Gujarat in an attempt to debunk Modi’s claims on development.
"Modiji is telling people that his state is utopian. Education and health facilities are perfect. There 24*7 power supply. I just want to meet people and know if this is the truth. If it's not then the country should know about it," he told.
He probably doesn't know that his own party member and probably the AAP's candidate for the Lok Sabha from Mumbai (South) - Meera Sanyal - had tweeted 'gushing encomiums' for Namo's Gujarat in Mar 2012.
A few samples of her tweets, which are now out in the media :

A sample large enough to tell the citizens that Arvind Kejriwal ' is & will always ' be a "FRAUD".

To inspect the drains in NaMo land !
And, a maudlin media gives him cover !
